FinShare

QuickBooks Online reports, on request

Financial reports straight from QuickBooks, with the owner’s approval.

Ask a business for the exact reports you need. The owner reviews the list, connects QuickBooks once and approves. You get Excel files that tie out to QuickBooks’ own totals — no exports, no retyping, no doctored spreadsheets.

Business owner who was asked to share? Manage your sharing — no account needed.

How it works

1

Choose the reports

Pick a package — due diligence, quality of earnings, proof of cash, lender — or build your own list of reports and periods. Save it as a template for next time.

2

The owner approves

The business owner gets an email, sees exactly which reports and periods you asked for, connects QuickBooks once and sets how long you may have access. No account needed on their side.

3

Reports arrive, tied out

Each report is pulled read-only from QuickBooks, checked against QuickBooks' own totals and delivered as Excel. Roll the request forward each month without asking again.

Reports available: profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, trial balance, general ledger, A/R and A/P aging (summary and detail), and sales by customer — on an accrual or cash basis, by month, quarter or year.

Built for people who ask for financials for a living

M&A advisors and brokers

Collect three years of P&L, trailing twelve months, balance sheets, agings and the full general ledger from a seller in one request.

Lenders

Annual and year-to-date financials straight from the books, refreshed on a schedule the borrower agreed to.

Buyers and QoE teams

Thirty-six months of monthly P&L and balance sheets, trial balance by year and sales by customer, without a single exported file.

Fractional CFOs and accountants

A standing monthly package from each client company, delivered the same way every time.

For business owners: what you’re agreeing to

Someone asked you to share reports through FinShare. Before you approve, you’ll see exactly which reports and periods they want and who will receive them. These are our promises to you, and the same wording appears on the approval page.

  • Connecting shares nothing by itself. Reports are pulled only for the request you approve, one at a time.
  • FinShare only reads reports. It never changes anything in QuickBooks.
  • You see the exact list of reports and periods before you approve, and you choose how long access lasts.
  • Disconnect at any time: from the link we email you, from the app that asked, or inside QuickBooks.
  • When access ends, FinShare revokes its own QuickBooks access rather than letting it linger.

Security, in brief

FinShare carries other people’s financial records, so it is built to do one thing and leave a trail. The full detail is in our privacy policy.

  • QuickBooks tokens, company identifiers and every stored report are encrypted at rest with keys held outside the database.
  • Raw QuickBooks responses are kept as immutable snapshots; delivered files can be re-verified against them at any time.
  • Every action, by a requester or an owner, goes into an append-only audit log.
  • Sign-in is by one-time email links. There are no passwords to leak.

Inside the tools you already use

FinShare powers the QuickBooks connection in Vetting Vault, so a seller can answer a diligence request straight from their books. A documented REST API and signed webhooks let you build the same into your own product.
