Billing and payments
- When am I charged?
- Once per request, when the business owner connects QuickBooks and approves it. Nothing is charged if they decline, never answer, let the link expire, or connect without approving. Sending a request is free.
- What does it cost?
- Pay as you go is $49 per approved request. Team is $199 a month with 8 approved requests included, then $20 each. Prices are in US dollars. See pricing for the details.
- How do I pay?
- Add a card before sending your first request. Approved requests are billed monthly, and the Team fee at the start of each billing month, charged automatically to your card through our payment processor, Stripe.
- Where are my invoices?
- In the app, under Settings, then Billing, then Card and invoices. That's also where you update your card.
- A payment failed.
- We retry it. New requests are paused until it's paid, and requests the owner already approved keep working. Update your card under Settings, then Billing.
Refunds
- Can I get a refund?
- Yes. If a request was billed in error, such as a duplicate or the wrong company, or it wasn’t what you needed, email support@finshare.io with the request and we’ll refund it.
- How is it refunded?
- If the charge hasn't been invoiced yet, we remove it from your next invoice. Otherwise we refund it to the card you paid with.
- I don't recognize a charge.
- Email support@finshare.io before disputing it with your bank. We'll tell you which request it was for and fix it if it's wrong.
Changing or cancelling
- Is there a contract?
- No. Pay as you go has no monthly fee, so there's nothing to cancel: you're only charged when an owner approves a request.
- How do I leave the Team plan?
- An account owner can switch to Pay as you go under Settings, then Billing, at any time. No further monthly fee is charged after you switch.
- How do I close my account?
- Email support@finshare.io from the account owner's address and we'll close it. Requests can also be cancelled, and access revoked, from inside the app at any time.
For business owners
- How do I stop sharing?
- Use the manage link in the email we sent when you approved, or go to app.finshare.io/access and we’ll email you a fresh one. Revoking takes effect right away.
- Does sharing cost me anything?
- No. Owners are never charged. The person who asked for the reports pays.
- Can FinShare change my books?
- No. FinShare only reads reports, and only the ones you approved. See for business owners and security.
